While shopping a local thrift store, I ran across a copy of a 1950s version of what to do with cheese titled – “The Cheese Cookbook.”
This author signed edition features recipes for things I’ve never heard of including –
- Prune and Cheese Salad
- Cheese Corn-meal Souffle
- Cheese Pancakes
The author, Marye Dahnke – Director of Customer Service Department for Kraft Foods, also goes on to share numerous recipes that include cheese with Rum, white wine, sherry and other intriguing ingredients like gelatin.
It’s fun to look back to the 50s rather than living in them!
